The Human Library is an innovative method designed to promote dialogue, reduce prejudices and encourage understanding. Visitors to a Human Library are given the opportunity to speak informally with people from stereotyped groups varied in age, sex and cultural background. The Human Library enables groups to break stereotypes by challenging the most common prejudices in a positive and humorous manner. It is a concrete, easily transferable and affordable way of promoting tolerance and understanding.
On 11-12th of June Fundacia Filantropica Metropolis together with Fundatia Parteneri pentru Dezvoltare Locala- FPDL, Asociatia Accept, Agentia Impreuna, Asociatia Youth for Justice and Asociatia DGT are organizing Human Library on purpose to give an opportunity for people to meet different and usually stereotyped groups’ representatives and to have live informal dialog.
20 different books will wait for you in The Embassy (Hanul cu tei) str. Lipscani 63-65, sector 3, from 12 to 18 pm.
